Craft Beer Tasting

What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you hear the words beer and October? Oktoberfest of course – the feast of Bavarian culture more famous as the world’s largest beer festival. The story behind it begins back in 1810 as a celebration of the marriage of King Louis I to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. Today, millions of visitors travel to Munich each year to experience their share of the 2-week long festival.

Thinking of a way to bring its spirit in our coworking space in Sofia, we invited our partners from Hills Beer. Their independent brewery located near Plovdiv preserved the traditional brewing methods to give us the finest products. They use crystal-clear water from the Rhodope Mountain and high-quality German ingredients.

In our spacious lounge, Hill’s team guided us in a craft beer tasting tour with 4 carefully selected types of beer, each of them absolutely excellent. We have learned some insights and techniques about the brewing process and the proper way of tasting. As you could imagine, the male part of our community was much more engaged in the process. So, next time we will have to find a way entertain the ladies. Any ideas?
