Built Around the Way They Work: OfficeRnD’s Managed Office at MyFlex

The company behind the software that powers flexible workspaces worldwide chose a MyFlex managed office for its own team. Here's why.
When OfficeRnD, the company behind the software that powers thousands of flexible workspaces around the world, decided its growing Sofia team needed a new home, it wasn’t just looking for space. It was looking for an environment that matched where the company was heading next.
OfficeRnD helps coworking and flex space operators streamline operations and grow, while empowering modern businesses to run their workplaces with ease. Today it powers over 4,000 organizations worldwide, employs 150+ people, and operates from four global offices including Sofia, which recently moved into a fully customized managed office at MyFlex.
There’s something telling about this particular move: few understand flexible workspaces as deeply as OfficeRnD does. So when a team of experts chooses where to work, it’s worth paying attention. In this interview, Ivan Guberkov, Chief Product Officer at OfficeRnD, shares what led them to MyFlex, how the space was shaped around the way they work, and why the right environment is about far more than four walls.
This is the story of how a workspace built around a company’s vision — its people, its culture and the way it works can become a genuine part of how a team performs.

To start, tell us a little about OfficeRnD — who you are and what you do?
OfficeRnD helps coworking and flex space operators streamline operations, increase profit and grow their businesses with one intelligent platform, while also empowering modern businesses to run their workplace operations with ease. OfficeRnD powers 4000+ organizations worldwide, employs 150+ people and operates from four global offices, including our office in Sofia, which recently moved to MyFlex.
What led you to start looking for a new workspace?
As OfficeRnD grew, our needs naturally evolved with us. We reached a stage where we wanted a workspace that reflected the direction the company was heading and matched our vision for where we were going next.
Did you consider other options and what ultimately determined your choice?
Yes, we looked at a few options before deciding. In the end, three things stood out. The location worked for our team and made a strong impression on visitors. The building itself had the quality and feel we were after — modern, professional, the kind of environment we wanted to be associated with. But what really made the difference was MyFlex’s approach: they didn’t just offer us a space, they worked with us to shape it around how we actually operate.

You build the software that powers flexible workspaces worldwide, so you understand these environments better than almost anyone. From that expert perspective, what convinced you MyFlex was the right partner?
Working in this industry, we tend to look at any workspace fairly critically. We know what to ask and what usually gets overlooked. A few things stood out with MyFlex. The approach was client-first and tailored to how we work, rather than a standard solution. They were responsive throughout, which mattered given the scale of the decision. And they clearly had the organization and the experience with larger corporate accounts to handle a project like ours. That’s ultimately what gave us the confidence to move forward.
What value does the workspace environment bring to your team, culture and brand?
For us, the environment actively shapes behaviour. It’s not just a background or a nice-to-have thing. The atmosphere of a space has a real effect on how people work and how productive they are. That’s why we put genuine focus on collaboration areas and informal meeting points, alongside the overall look and culture feel and the way the space carries our brand. The environment influences how people behave, so we see it as part of how the team performs, not just where they sit.

You mentioned the office was tailored to your needs — how did that process of working together unfold?
We came in with quite a few requirements — we’d actually set up an internal committee to define exactly what we needed from the office. From there, the communication with the MyFlex team was easy and open. They understood the brief quickly, really got inside our heads, and came back with a range of solid ideas and different solutions based on what we needed. We took a lot of them on board, and the team turned them around fast. It felt less like briefing a provider and more like working with a partner who was thinking alongside us.
Beyond your own space, how does the wider MyFlex environment support the team day-to-day?
We feel fully integrated into the MyFlex community and make the most of everything around us — the additional meeting rooms, the shared spaces, the event areas, both for our own events and the ones MyFlex organises. Having all of that on hand, beyond our own office, means the team gets a lot more than just a place to work.

What would you say to another company thinking about a similar move?
Our advice would be to explore the options properly before deciding. Operators like MyFlex genuinely take the time to understand what a business needs, rather than offering a standard set-up. When you weigh everything up — the day-to-day experience, the quality of the environment, the operational risk you’d otherwise carry, and how quickly you can be up and running a managed office is very hard to beat even for big traditional corporations. It comes down to each company’s situation, but for the overall value you get, we’d struggle to point to a better solution.
If you had to sum up your MyFlex experience in three words, what would they be?
Brightness, quality, positivity.
